At one time, Shivpal put his hand on Akhilesh's shoulder and comforted him as the SP president seemed close to home.

On the stage, when SP pioneer Master Prasad Maurya gave a flower wreath to Slam Gopal Yadav for it to be put on Mulayam's body, Smash Gopal requested that Maurya give it to Shivpal, who was standing close by. Then, at that point, Ramgopal and Shivpal offered the wreath to the body together.

At the point when journalists in Saifai inquired as to whether this would stamp a new beginning among him and Akhilesh, the veteran chief said, "This isn't the time … it will be seen when the (proper) opportunity arrives."
